Staff Spotlight: Kyla Garcia, Fifth Grade Teacher

The principal of Apple Valley Elementary, Heidi Sutton, will highlight staff throughout the school year. She explained, “We will kick-off our school year with staff stories to introduce you to ALL staff involved in your student’s daily life. Each month we will share stories from our educators.”

Sutton continued, “Let’s learn about Kyla Garcia, Fifth Grade teacher.”

Hi! My name is Kyla Garcia and I am a 5^th grade teacher for Apple Valley Elementary.

This will be my 12^th year of teaching and have taught 3^rd and 4^th grade. I attended West Valley for my own schooling, so teaching here is very near and dear to my heart.

I have three boys that keep me very busy. When we aren’t busy with sports, we try and get away as much as possible with our camp trailer.

My hope for this year is to create relationships with my students that will last a lifetime!
