The principal of Apple Valley Elementary, Heidi Sutton, will highlight staff throughout the school year. She explained, “Each month we will share stories from our educators.”

Principal Sutton continued, “I would like to introduce to you Mrs. Mandy Panattoni, Third Grade teacher.”

*************************************************************

Hi! I’m Mandy Panattoni and this is my 13th year of teaching. I’m in my eighth year of teaching third grade students at Apple Valley.

Before Apple Valley, I taught fourth grade students for five years in another school district. While I worked on my Bachelor’s in Education Degree from Central Washington University, I worked as a para-educator for two years. I went back to school and got my Master’s Degree while teaching fourth grade.

Teaching was my dream job growing up, and, as a grownup, I love it! Every year I look forward to connecting with my students and helping them learn and grow. I believe in growing the whole child. Kids are the best!

I have three daughters who keep me busy outside of work, and I love being a mom – my other dream “job”! I enjoy taking them places and trying new experiences together. We love going to the beach in the summertime. The beach and the mountains are my happy places.

I love eating Mexican food and pizza, watching the Seahawks win, and riding bikes as a family.

I’m excited for this school year, and just being able to be a small part of each kiddo’s life.
